After weeks of anticipation, Unofficial Clothing have debuted her maiden collection aptly named: Outline. Borrowing heavily from the concept of minimalism, the cloth line features multi-colored text designs set on neutral colored t-shirts.
The text designs are inspired by pop culture and everyday words in a humorous, yet thought provoking manner. The reason behind the Outline collection is to foster conversation and social awareness about issues that matter to the society in a subtle way.
Meant for outliers and people who hope to stand out not just from the crowd but also to deconstruct certain generalized societal believes, Outline is a fashion statement, comfortable to wear and easy to launder.
It can seem like there’s a lot to know about good style, and there is, at least if you want to be enrolled in its master class. But looking sharper than 99% of other guys is actually fairly simple and merely requires knowing and doing little stuff right. The kind of stuff that can be encapsulated into short, easy-to-remember principles and adages.
A lot of questions is being asked on which platform to use especially by those who want to start blogging and those who want to leave blogger platform.
Important:Please note that this comparison is between self-hosted WordPress.org and Blogger, not WordPress.com vs Blogger.
1. Ownership
Blogger is a blogging service provided by the tech giant Google. It is free, reliable most of the time, and quite enough to publish your stuff on the web. However, it is not owned by you. Google runs this service and has the right to shut it down, or shutdown your access to it at any time.
With WordPress, you use a WordPress hosting provider to host your own site. You are free to decide how long you want to run it and when you want to shut it down. You own all your data, and you control what information you share with any third party.
2. Control
Blogger is a fine tuned service with very limited tools allowing you to perform only specific tasks on your website. The things you can do on your blogspot blog are limited, and there is no way you can extend them to meet a need.
WordPress is an open source software, so you can easily extend it to add new features. There are thousands of WordPress plugins allowing you to modify and extend the default feature set such as adding a store to your website, creating portfolio, etc.
When comparing WordPress vs Blogger for business websites, then WordPress is hands down the best long-term solution for any serious business owner.
3. Appearance
Blogger by default only provides a limited set of templates to use. You can modify the colors and layout of these templates using the built-in tools, but you cannot create your own layouts or make modifications. There are some non-official Blogger templates available, but those templates are usually very low quality (free templates).
There are thousands of free and premium WordPress themes which allow you to create professional looking websites. There is a WordPress theme for just about every kind of website. No matter what your site is about, you will find plenty of high quality themes which are easy to modify and customize.
4. Portability
Moving your site from Blogger to a different platform is a complicated task. There is a significant risk that you will lose your SEO (search engine rankings (subscribers, and followers during the move. Even though blogger allows you to export your content, your data will stay on Google’s servers for a very long time.
Using WordPress, you can move your site anywhere you want. You can move your WordPress site to a new host, change domain name, or even move your site to other content management systems.
5. Security
Using Blogger you have the added advantage of Google’s robust secure platform. You don’t need to worry about managing your server’s resources, securing your blog, or creating backups.
WordPress is quite secure, but since it is a self hosted solution you are responsible for security and backups. There are plenty of WordPress plugins that make it easier for you.
My Opinion: During the period I fiddled with a self-hosted WordPress, I automated everything i.e security patches, updates, bla bla which came at an extra cost. Everything about self hosted WordPress screams money, which for a personal fashion or lifestyle blogger I won't advice you to go for it, since most of the time maintenance money comes from your pocket. Even as an upcoming news and entertainment blogger, its not really advisable cos you might invest all the money you got and when things go south you quit. It reduces your regrets.
If you really want to go self hosted WordPress, make sure the blog or business pays maintenance bills.
Looks like the King is back, let me finally clean the remaining cobwebs and scrub the blog clean, mehn i've been on a long break which I don't even know if i will return to again. But I really hope to stick around this time, its just that am having who will take the pictures problem.
I decided to pair this my ripped jean with an animal skin top and a pair of sandals from a brand which didn't pay for publicity, so I won't be talking about them. Cos I wanted this not so official kinda look.
I was just lying on my bed, then I remembered one article that took me months of crafting to put together "I AM NOT WHO YOU THINK I AM". That article was a reflection of the way I felt at that moment. And obviously I'm the person, I'm gradually becoming. But lately chain reaction of events is making me ask my self several questions. Questions I don't even think I have gotten the answers. Questions like "Who am I".
Lately, I'm beginning to wonder why some certain things do not bother me anymore. Some people say your level of non-chalancy over certain issues is alarming. Well I'll just shake my head and say; Maybe is part of growing up. But in the real sense I don't even know who I am again. I've become so. I don't even know, I cannot even take my decisions, before once I've weighed the pros and cons of any situation, take my decision and make peace with so as to live without regrets, I just charge like a bull. But now I don't even know again, everything doesn't seem right. If it were a game of cheese, I've been checkmated more than a thousands times.
Deep down, it feels like there's a void, a blank space between, a void that needs to be filled. There's a saying it's not the drug that makes a drug addict. But the need to escape reality. But at the end of the day, the drugs, alcohol and other vices doesn't fill the void, you just temporarily escape your reality. You take alcohol, you do drugs, you get high after a couple of hours the euphoria dies down, you are returned to your reality, that reality I sometimes don't wish to live in. But what choice do we have?, at one point or the other we've got to live the reality, but not when it's too late.
We are in a society where everyone is constantly saying you could have done better, but they fail to ask, did you even enjoy doing that which they say you could have done better doing?. Do they even know if you are comfortable with your actions?. But they fail to realise most of the time, we live the dreams of our caregivers and end up not living ours, many people constantly live in chronic depression as a result of many things which includes not living their dreams, some just give up and quit fighting, while some just keep fighting till their dreams come true.

I believe everyone has a potential, so I'll tell you "Go into the world discover your passion, live your dream and feel the passion"
