After expressing her desires to be the first woman to win the Big Brother grand prize since Zambia's Cherise did so seven seasons ago, Dillish has done it for all of Africa's women!
The gorgeous Namibian started her Chase race as the proverbial underdog and was labeled everything from lazy, to a pampered princess. As the Chase rolled on however, Dillish quickly emerged as a very strong contender for the Chase title and won her fellow Housemates and Africa over, with her quirky, accented alter ego, aptly titled Princess Dillish.
The Namibian made sure to stay away from trouble and coasted through the Chase by taking her place behind the scenes. While her fellow Housemates got themselves into hot water, fighting and gossiping their way to what they hoped was the top of the mountain, Dillish remained grounded and maintained cordial relations with her fellow Housemates.
The only time the Namibian got herself in a spot of trouble was when she and her good friend, Nigeria's Melvin, had a disagreement after she told her fellow Housemates about a relationship he was involved in, which was less than stellar. Dillish and Cleo proved to all and sundry that women are indeed a force of nature. The two hotties pipped their male counterparts, Elikem and Melvin to the Top 2 while, as well as their close friend Beverly.
Before the big news was delivered, Pebbles the fish surprised all and sundry with one last speech. "On behalf of myself and the other fish, I would like to congratulate you on your amazing feat. You are the specialest ladies in Africa," Pebbles said.
However, one thing is clear! Tonight is Dillish's night and oh what a moment it was! As soon as the Namibian was announced the winner of the Chase, the Namibian broke down in a heap of tears at the realisation that she has a cool USD 300 000 sitting in her bank account. Yes Africa. She came, she saw and she conquered. In heels even! Congratulations to Delicious Dillish!

Girl’s bathrooms are all too often overflowing with a veritable bevy of skincare products. We hoard the stuff, and with good reason – women’s skincare products are awesome. In fact, it’s kind of unfair that women have such a large arsenal of skincare products to choose from, while men’s skincare products are still playing catch-up.
The men’s skincare market may be blowing up right now, but with new brands, few reputations, and little trust built up around these products, we figured it might just be safer to stick with the well-established market leaders. Hence, Everyguyed has compiled this useful list of 5 tried-and-true skincare products to steal from your girlfriend, or for that matter, any woman in your life. For the record though, we don’t literally mean steal. You’re a man, you can buy your own stuff.
1) Cleansing facial wipes
We’re at a loss as to why cleansing facial wipes don’t exist for men yet, but they’re pretty much the most convenient skincare product in the market right now. They’re single-use towelettes that cleanse your face of oil, dirt, sweat, exfoliating your skin, and moisturizing all at once. These portable cloths are great for traveling, sweaty summer days, when you’re running late, or between leaving the office and hitting the patio.
There’s a plethora of brands to choose from, but we especially like Olay’s Wet Cleansing Cloths, which are infused with vitamin E to nourish and moisturize your skin.
2) The loofah
For most items on this list you can use your ladies stash for a test run before you grab your own, but not when it comes to the loofah, since that’s pretty much the definition of unsanitary.
Women use these shower poofs religiously, which is what every guy should do. Yes, yes, we know that the words ‘shower poof’ is not the most manly of terms, but let’s put it this way: Would you wash your car without a cloth? Or your dishes without some sort of brush? Probably not, since simple soap and water can only do so much.
The same concept applies to your skin. Fortunately, Axe has recently come out with the Axe Detailer, which is a fantastically useful shower tool that works up a good lather, exfoliates your skin, and really gives you a deep clean that you can feel, all without threatening your masculinity. Just make sure not to go nuts, since you are taking off some new skin along with the old, dead stuff. Once a week or so in the winter months, twice in the summer.
3) Pore strips
For all of you who have stared at the mirror in dismay, observing the blackheads and clogged pores on your nose that just refuse to budge no matter how many times you scrub your face, this is the product for you. All you have to do is wash your face, stick one of these strips on your nose, wait 10-15 minutes, then peel it off. Viola; dirt, blackheads, and anything else stuck in your pores are instantly pulled out.
Boiré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips are definitely the superior choice out of all the pore strips out there. With weekly use the visible appearance of your pores will be significantly reduced. The only downside? Pulling off the strip kind of hurts…but man up, because if your 15 year-old sister can do it, you can too.
4) Medicated concealer sticks
Let’s just get this straight: Yes, concealer is technically makeup, but for all intents and purposes, it’s not really makeup when it’s a medicated concealer stick. These useful little sticks are more like erasers for your face. Thank god the pubescent days of rampant acne have passed, but every now and then a stray zit or embarrassing blemish will appear on your skin, and that’s where the medicated concealer stick comes in.
Murad makes an especially well-recommended stick, just dab where needed and you’re ready to go. The formula will work to fight the zit/clogged pore/bug bite/whatever’s murking up your visage, while the tint simultaneously hides whatever needs hiding. It even works on black eyes after bar fights (ok, not the formula but the tint).
5) Body Lotion
This product is so basic, it was almost not included… Until it was revealed by a quick poll in the office that body lotion is actually a not-so-basic choice for the average guy. C’mon guys, really? Dry skin, like dandruff, is an unsightly but easily resolved problem: just slap some lotion on it.
Moisturized skin is softer, smoother and will help you maintain healthier, more youthful skin. Don’t mix up moisturized skin with ‘girly’-ness; because on the flip side, leathery, flaky skin is not manly, it’s just gross.
Any moisturizer will do, to be honest. Make sure to pick one that matches your skin type and climate. There are lotions for those with sensitive or oily skin, lotions with SPF protection or bronzer, unscented or scented, you get the idea.

Extra Tips & Tricks:
• It’s perfectly ok to replace your face wash with cleansing towelettes. They do the same thing, are quicker, and more convenient anyway (albeit, a bit more expensive).
• Always moisturize post-shower, especially if you’re using an exfoliating loofah/detailer. Your skin will soak up the hydrating goodness much more easily.
• Only use pore strips once a week. ONCE. Trust us, bad things happen if you over-use these.
• When using a medicated concealer stick, make sure to always wash it off at the end of the day so that your skin can breathe and heal.

Summary:
We hate to say it, but these days one’s appearance matters more than ever, and a clean, well-kept, professional man should always have a proper skincare regimen. While it may sound a bit silly at first, there are definite benefits to using traditional women’s skincare products. Millions upon millions of women must be using them for a reason, right? Some of them are more convenient, better quality, used for obvious reasons that males stubbornly refuse to acknowledge, or overall are just plain genius. However, if you’re still not feeling too enthusiastic about using female-marketed products (it’s just the packaging, we swear), then you can always visit a men’s grooming site like FinerCut for product suggestions as well.
- Just because these products haven’t been packaged in manly containers by manly brands doesn’t mean they don’t work for men
- Using a greater variety of skincare products is hygienic, not feminine
- All of these basic products will yield immediate, and long term improvements in your skins health
- Your girlfriend will effing love it

Some of the most frequent kinds of questions ManMade receives are inquiries like, "I just graduated college and finally have a real income and I'd like to start investing in some long-lasting goods..." or "my fiancée's birthday is coming up, and I'd like to buy him something every guy should have..." In 2013, I've been giving my take on those essential items, offering a new collection of ten each season: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Some of these you might already own, some of these you might need to upgrade to a quality version, and most of these apply to women and households too. Please let me know what you think, and what you'd add or take away in the comments below.
1. A pocketknife or multi-tool: [pictured above] For most of my adult life, I wasn't a pocketknife guy. I had some, but reserved them for camping or backpacking trips, and I always kept a small Leatherman in my "go bag" (except when flying) as well as one in my car. But, over the last few months, after inheriting several pocketknives from my grandfather, I've taken to carrying a small one along with my other daily items, and, my goodness, it's useful. I don't know that I use it everyday, but I'm certain it's employed at least four or five times a week, and on those days I forget, I always seem to need it. Give it a shot. For more, see 20+ Ways to Use a Pocketknife
2. At least one living plant: Spring is the time when stuff grows, and it's important to have that ish inside your house. There's a certain zen that comes with caring for a plant - whether it's a single succulent that needs to be watered once a month, or a full-on farm. Those of us with gardens or lawns to manage are covered, but urban apartment dwellers or renters? Get. a. plant. And don't let it die. Put in on your kitchen table, in your office, build a window box, grow your own wheatgrass, whatever. Green thumb or no, it'll make you a better guy. If you want to really incorporate some into your home decor, check out our How to: Make DIY Wall-Mounted Succulent Shelves
3. A library card: Even in the era of the internet and eReaders, your local library is still a major gift to any community. It's full of media...that you can get for free. For free. Especially in the era when most video stores are closed, your local library remains one of the few places you can just browse for movies older than six months. And they have books! And magazines! And all kinds of interesting programming, and film series, and free classes. Libraries are awesome, and it'll be a serious shame if we lose them. I love discovering new music on the web or browsing Netflix, but there's still something special about finding a physical piece of media on a shelf, and making a commitment to checking it out. Go pay off your fines, and patronize your local library.
4. A weekend getaway bag: You have months of cabin fever built up, and there's just something good for the soul about spending a weekend away from home. Don't over-think it and grab a piece of luggage and three pairs of shoes and a garment bag full of suits. Just snag your toothbrush, a filled flask or growler for when you get there, a magazine or two, and a jacket and your favorite pair of jeans. Spend a weekend with a buddy in a neighboring city. Go see your parents. Take your sweetheart somewhere special. Just hit the road. For some multi-use solutions, check out our roundup of Five Awesome Gym Bags to match any style. (Just make sure it smells okay)
5. A bicycle: This might be a controversial one, especially for those in small spaces, but I'ma say it: every guy needs a bike. The world just looks different from two wheels. When we were kids, your bike meant freedom, and that isn't lost when you grow up. They're a great form of exercise, especially as we age and our joints can't always handle the impact of jogging. You can ride it for fun, for transportation, for fitness, to save money or gas. Bikes are awesome, and a solid one will last you for the rest of your life. There's no reason to plunk down a bunch of money on a new carbon-fiber racing frame. Used bike shops and co-ops abound in every major city, and you can get a perfectly useable older road bike for around $100. Just be sure to get one that fits, and make sure the tires and brake pads are in good shape. For more, see our Skillset post - How to: 5 DIY Bike Tune-Ups Every Man Should Know
6. A regular appointment that has nothing to do with your job - Those with kids will laugh at this, but we should all have at least one place we're committed to be during our off hours. Especially in the era of telecommuting, startup culture, freelancing, etc. Ideas? Take a class. Play a team sport. Volunteer with a local organization. Join a book club or discussion group. Attend a lecture. Take part in a community garden. Routine isn't everything, but it helps a lot of us living the creative lifestyle to have some balance.
7. A great pair of sunglasses: Not an expensive pair, but something better than the stuff you can find at the gas station. Why? Sunglasses are stylish, but they also are good for you and your health. From our ManMade Guide to Sunglasses:
Unfortunately, many men consider sunglasses to be mere fashion accessories, and therefore "not manly," but there are actually several health benefits to wearing sunglasses, particularly polarized lenses, when spending a day outside: they protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and blue light, as well as protecting the skin around your eyes and preventing wrinkles and "crow's feet." Furthermore, they allow you to see better when outside, helping you to better operate a car, motorcycle, bicycle, boat, lawnmower, backhoe, grill, etc.
8. A notebook, sketchbook, or journal: I regularly use digital tools to help flesh out designs and my phone to keep track of inspirations, but there's some magical about putting a pencil on paper and sketching or outlining ideas. No matter what you do, make, or like to think about, there's a case to be made about doing it away from a screen. I keep two notebooks, a small pocket-sized one that I try to keep on me, and a hard-bound graph paper book for designing projects and planning measurements. Currently, I'm using a Leuchtturm1917 that I got at Powell's, and I like it even better than the [no longer available] Picadilly books I used for years. See the comments section here for more ideas: How to: A Quick and Easy Way to Reattach a Book or Notebook Cover
9. A solid umbrella: Look, don't be tough. Sometimes you just gotta be outside when it's raining, and if you need to be professional (or comfortable), it doesn't make any sense to get soaked. Like most things, I suggest spending a little more and getting on that'll last for decades, rather than buying a bunch of plasticky discount store models. Plus, the potential to be a gentleman here and keep some nice old lady on the street or your cute neighbor dry? It can be good to be the guy with the umbrella. 10. A wristwatch - I have no idea when guys decided there was no reason to wear a watch once we all started carrying cell phones. Maybe that'll work for a casual work day, but wristwatches do so much more than keep time you the time. They're style accessories, and important ones at that. You don't need anything flashy or expensive. Just a piece that's solid, classy, and timeless. (Um....) I vote for having at least two - one for dress and one for casual wear, perhaps with a few easy-to-switch band options. Plus, when you're out on a date and need to make a movie or show, or at a business meeting, you don't wanna be pulling out your phone to check the time. Watches, my friend. Watches.
