BASED ON A T.R.U. STORY

Saturday, July 26, 2014

This is one of my creative writings, but its actually based on T.R.U story.

The telephone just ringed and it was a call from his course mate and he said “Second semester, Second year result is out” With lots of expectations he was determined to see his result, When he finally saw the result to his utter dismay it was the Same Old shit. And you know parents would always be disappointed due to their high expectations and scold as usual, but nobody really understood him or his predicament, everybody just says the bad grades are due to the fact that he doesn't study, probably doesn't even go to class.

As a little child he was very intelligent and had or probably still has a lot of potentials, before the age of 2 he could recite letters of the alphabet, but age of three he could write the names of the members of the extended family correctly. This marveled so many people. After his birth the gynecologist on duty said “One day you would definitely become a doctor”, His mother was holding onto that and watching her kid grow, As he grew up he was fascinated by Nature, he became so interested in biology, he got into high school he took science classes but wasn't really good in chemistry, As technology advanced he found a new companion Computer and Cyberspace, he spent most of his time exploring cyber space and researching on medical field instead of actually learning the pranks his age mates learnt at that stage in life, Towards the end of high school he was faced with the problem of choosing a career, he was torn between two things he love; Medicine and Computers, eventually he decided to take pursue a career in medicine but that year he wasn’t admitted into medical school and the mum persuaded him to go for biochemistry since he was admitted to study biochemistry in another school. Throughout his first year, he never loved the course, never took it serious and barely managed to make a good result which if he maintained he would have probably graduated with a 2nd class Upper Division, Towards the end of first semester of 2nd year he apparently didn't like the course, the hatred increased and his grades dropped drastically. Whenever the result for each semester came he had good grades in his biological sciences, but chemistry and biochemistry was merely a pass, most times he failed them, But good grades in one or two biological science courses cannot keep his result steady and at an average CGPA of 3.0. If he should continue at that rate, he would probably not graduate. Now the Big question is “If he should go to Medical School would he be able to last at least a session without being kicked out?” Cos his present situation looks like he cannot even pass an exam.

  2. I think he would be able to pass an exam because its not that he is not smart, he has no passion or interest for what he is studying. School is hard, so its important that we love what we do inorder to succeed.

I think it's all about interest, since he's not interested in those subject, he does not give them his time. If he really wants to graduate, he may have to put an effort into giving those subject a chance but I totally understand studying a course you don't like. If he wants to graduate, he has to learn to find those subject a bit fascinating.
